Canadian Rural Partnership, Pilot Projects 2000-2001. Yukon. Federal Partners: Public Works and Government Services Canada; Human Resources Development Canada. This project will improve the quality of life for people with physical and visual impairments living in the Yukon Territory. A local case manager will be hired to provide counselling and referral services, help clients access information and develop their knowledge of the Internet and other related technologies. The case manager will also provide community support and education regarding the needs and abilities of people with physical and visual impairments.

Projets pilotes 2000-2001 du Partenariat rural canadien. Yukon, partenaires fédéraux : Travaux publics et Services gouvernementaux Canada; Développement des ressources humaines Canada. Ce projet permettra d'améliorer la qualité de vie des gens ayant des handicaps physique et visuel qui vivent sur le territoire du Yukon. On engagera un gestionnaire local de cas et celui-ci offrira des services d'orientation et de counselling, aidera les clients à avoir accès à de l'information ce qui leur permettra d'acquérir des connaissances sur Internet et sur les autres technologies connexes. Ce gestionnaire donnera également un appui communautaire et sensibilisera les gens à l'égard des besoins et des capacités des personnes qui ont une déficience visuelle ou physique.
