OBS

Le terme anglais "valve" a pour équivalent "robinet" ou "vanne" lorsqu'il y a une commande quelconque, manuelle ou automatique; "robinet" sert pour tous les liquides et pour l'oxygène. "vanne" s'emploie dans les cas où le fluide est l'air. Deux autres équivalents, "soupape" et "clapet", désignent des dispositifs autonomes (aucune intervention extérieure), par exemple "soupape de surpression", "clapet de non retour".
