En sylviculture, exécution de travaux de reboisement visant à combler un déficit en matière ligneuse non régénérée naturellement après coupe, en raison de facteurs humains (par ex.: coupe à blanc avec absence de semenciers), accidentels (par ex.: incendies de forêts), ou pathologiques (par ex.: attaques d'insectes, champignons, etc.).

OBS

Le terme non officiel "arrérages" pour désigner les territoires non régénérés après coupe, est employé parfois par les sylviculturalistes québécois.
