In February 1995, the Canadian Forces Leadership and Specialized Training Center (CFLSTC) came into being with the amalgamation of the Canadian Forces School of Physical Education and Recreation (CFSPER), the Canadian Forces Training Development Center (CFTDC) and the [Canadian Forces Academy of Leadership and Languages (CFALL)].

Combined for a brief period with other units within the Canadian Forces Leadership and Specialized Training Centre (CFLSTC), CFTDC [Canadian Forces Training Development Centre] became again an independent unit in 1995.

The Canadian Forces Leadership Academy and the Canadian Forces Language School Borden have been amalgamated to form the new Canadian Forces Academy of Leadership and Languages in Borden.
