The objectives of the Regional Economic Development Opportunities (REDO) are to retain the public sector workforce in the National Capital Region and support their training and social needs during this transition, to create and promote new employment and business opportunities to assist in the transition from the public sector to the private sector, to pursue business opportunities to help the growth of existing companies and create new companies and to ensure proper coordination of all public and private sector services aimed at diversifying the National Capital Region's economy.
