Can Body Manufacturing ... The aluminum coils are loaded onto an "uncoiler" at the beginning of the can making line. The uncoiler unrolls the strip of aluminum and feeds it to the lubricator. The lubricator deposits a thin film of water-soluble lubricant on both sides of the aluminum sheet.

Lubricator: the geotextile is placed between two materials which have to move along each other; its function is to reduce interlocking (adhesion and friction) between these two materials. An example is a multilayer concrete-geotextile-geomembrane pavement for a canal lining where differential movements are expected.
