This joint statement is intended to promote the development of electronic commerce and the widespread adoption of new electronic service delivery approaches by governments by: supporting and endorsing a shared vision and policy principles for the global environment which facilitates the growth of electronic commerce; committing to an action agenda between Canada and the United Kingdom with governments, businesses, and consumers in key areas of electronic commerce and e-government.
