[Il] descend le long de la face postérieure de la cuisse (en arrière de celle-ci) puis se divise derrière le genou (creux poplité) en 2 branches qui sont : Le nerf sciatique poplité interne qui descend à l'arrière de la jambe [et] le nerf sciatique poplité externe qui descend sur le côté du mollet.
