From 1999 to 2007, the Government of Saskatchewan supported the cultural industries through the Cultural Industries Development Fund (CIDF). Government did not renew the fund in 2008, but has partnered with the Saskatchewan Arts Board to ensure that adequate support for the creative industries continues.

Canadian Heritage. The Fund targets entrepreneurs working in book and magazine publishing, sound recording, film and video production and multimedia. Its objective is to support Canadian cultural production by providing a range of financial services, especially term loans.
