A very fascinating phenomenon occurs in monofilament drawing under certain conditions. If one extrudes and draws into a water bath, and increases the speed of drawing continuously, at some point a rhythmic pulsation begins ... Closer examination of this phenomenon has shown it to be a resonance phenomenon. For this reason, it has been named draw resonance.
