OBS

La plupart des systèmes fonctionnent selon le principe consistant à amplifier les fréquences dont l'amplitude n'est pas assez grande pour couvrir le bruit de fond de la bande. Cependant, cette amplification, utilisée à l'enregistrement, modifie le spectre sonore de telle sorte qu'il faut effectuer l'opération inverse à la reproduction afin de rétablir l'équilibre original.
