The Rules Committee of the Federal Court of Appeal and of the Federal Court, established under section 45.1 of the Federal Courts Act, guarantees the reliability and clarity of these Courts' Rules. Its mandate is to review the rules of practice and procedure before these Courts and recommend amendments or additions. The Rules Committee also suggests amendments if new federal legislation is introduced that might have an impact on cases that are dealt with by the Federal Court of Appeal.
