Ces plis sont associés à une foliation de plan axial, représentée par une surface continue et pénétrative, généralement parallèle à la stratification S0.

Sur les premiers 50-100 m, certains gabbros sont isotropes et laissent entrevoir l'ancien litage magmatique S0, celui-ci est exprimé par les zones sombres à amphiboles brunes et iddingsite respectivement méta-pyroxènes et méta-olivines qui alternent avec des niveaux clairs à plagioclase.
