The Scientific Advisory Committee on HIV-Therapies (SAC-HIV-T) provides advice to the Therapeutic Products Directorate (TPD) at Health Canada on emerging issues related to HIV infections, therapies, or research. The committee advises on post-marketing requirements for new drugs, ethical and policy issues regarding drug approval and use, and issues related to the efficacy, toxicity and clinically relevant interactions of HIV therapies, as required.
