The Scientific Advisory Committee on Oncology Therapies (SAC-OT) provies Health Canada (HC) with timely scientific, technical and medical advice related to the regulation of oncology therapies. Involvement of the scientific, medical and consumer communities in regulatory decision-making is expected to enhance transparency and provide opportunity for proactive external guidance, thus greatly improving the drug review process. Le Conseil consultatif scientifique sur les oncothérapies (CCS-O) fournit, en temps opportun des avis scientifiques, techniques et médicaux à Santé Canada concernant la réglementation des oncothérapies. La participation des communautés scientifique et médicale aux décisions réglementaires devrait améliorer la transparence et permettre une contribution externe proactive. Le processus d'examen des médicaments s'en trouvera ainsi amélioré.
