Carte qu'on retourne après la distribution afin de déterminer l'atout.

CONT

rami : Le donneur distribue, de gauche à droite, sept cartes à chacun des joueurs. Il pose le talon, constitué par les cartes restantes, au milieu de la table, la carte du dessus étant retournée, figure visible. Le premier joueur, situé à la gauche du donneur, extrait de son jeu une carte dont il veut se débarrasser, et, l'ayant posée, à découvert, sur la table, la remplace, à son choix, soit par la retourne, soit par la carte placée immédiatement au-dessous. La carte dont il s'est débarrassé devient la retourne pour le joueur suivant qui procède à la même opération, et qui a, lui aussi, le choix entre la carte retournée et la première carte cachée du talon.

Elle ne constitue pas nécessairement l'atout et peut n'être qu'une valeur connue que le joueur peut ignorer pour prendre une carte cachée.
