Health Canada. Developed by the Canadian Intramural Recreation Association, 1997. The HIP - Health in Perspective Program is an active learning program designed to help young females develop healthy and active lifestyles. It focuses on smoking prevention and cessation for young females aged 10-15 years of age. The program is intended to be used in settings such as recreation intramurals, after-school programs, or within existing community programming. HIP provides a fun and active learning environment and teaches critical life skills to young females using a peer-teaching 'for youth by youth' approach. The HIP Program is a set of two guides : the Facilitator's Guide and the Peer Leader's Guide.

Santé Canada, élaboré par l'Association canadienne de loisirs intramuros, 1997. Le HIP (Habiletés et indépendance personnelles) est un programme d'apprentissage actif ayant pour but d'aider les jeunes filles à développer un mode de vie sain et actif. Il met l'accent sur la prévention et l'abandon du tabagisme chez les jeunes filles de 10 à 15 ans. Prévu pour être mis en application dans le cadre des loisirs intramuros ou des activités parascolaires, ou encore des programmes communautaires existants, le programme HIP offre aux participantes un milieu d'apprentissage actif et agréable, tout en leur inculquant, sur la base d'une approche 'pour les jeunes par les jeunes', les qualités fondamentales d'une bonne dynamique de vie. Le programme HIP comprend deux guides : le Guide de l'animatrice et le Guide du pair leader.
