White phosphorus(WP) is a flare-and smoke-producing incendiary weapon, or smoke-screening agent, made from a common allotrope of the chemical element phosphorus. White phosphorus bombs and shells are incendiary devices, but can also be used as an offensive anti-personnel flame compound capable of causing serious burns or death. The agent is used in bombs, artillery shells, and mortar shells which burst into burning flakes of phosphorus upon impact. White phosphorus is commonly referred to in military jargon as "WP". The Vietnam-era slang "Willy(ie) Pete" or "Willy(ie) Peter" is still occasionally heard. 3, record 12, English, - white%20phosphorus

The sudden failure of walls or pillars in a mine caused by the weight or pressure of the surrounding rocks, and accompanied by a violent release of energy. 7, record 46, English, - rock%20burst
Record number: 46, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Rock bursts. In areas of very deep mining, as additional weight is supported by the pillars on the coal face, stresses may so build up that the yield point is reached. If the coal pillars, the roof, or the floor are able to yield gradually, the effects of the stresses are relieved by floor heaving, or by pillar or roof failure. Where the coal or the associated rocks are particularly strong and depths are much above average, these stresses may be relieved by rock bursts, which are relatively violent outbursts of the coal into the rooms and entries. Frequently, a large volume of gas(usually methane) is suddenly released during a rock burst in a coal mine. 8, record 46, English, - rock%20burst
Record number: 46, Textual support number: 1 OBS
for "coal burst" : Rock bursts and "coal bursts" in coal mines are generally designated by the term "bumps" or "bounces". A large proportion of these "bumps" or "bounces" are actually "coal bursts" due to fracturing of pillars and remnants and need not involve any fracturing of roof or floor rock. 4, record 46, English, - rock%20burst
Record number: 46, Textual support number: 2 OBS
for "air blast" : In former years rock bursts were sometimes referred to as "air blasts". This name originated from the fact that large quantities of rock loosened by some of the larger rock bursts displaced quantities of air, with the result that a blast of air passed through the mine workings. 4, record 46, English, - rock%20burst

Because of the need for flexibility in many areas of aerospace vehicle construction, it is often necessary to employ hose instead of rigid tubing for the transmission of fluids and gases under pressure. Specifications for hose to be used in aerospace vehicle systems are given in the Air Force-Navy Aeronautical Design Standard(AND) 10340. This specification covers hoses for fuel, oil, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other systems. Hose and hose assemblies for aircraft plumbing systems are manufactured in four different pressure categories : low-pressure, with a maximum operating pressure of 300 psi [2068 kPa] ;medium-pressure(300 to 1500 psi) [2068 to 10 342 kPa] ;high pressure(1500 to 3000 psi) [10 342 to 20 685 kPa] ;and extra-high-pressure(3000 to 6000 psi) [20 865 to 41 370 kPa]. It must be noted that the pressure ranges given above are general and that variations will be encountered in specific systems and installations. Hose assemblies are usually pressure-tested at a pressure at least twice the maximum operating pressure. The burst pressure is usually required to be at least four times the maximum operating pressure. Thus a good margin of safety is provided. 3, record 68, English, - flexible%20hose

3, record 72, Spanish, - trueno

Burst strength. There are two test methods to load fabrics out of plane, thereby stressing them in tension until failure occurs. The most common is the Mullen burst test... In this test, an inflatable rubber membrane is used to distort the fabric into the shape of a hemisphere. Bursting of the fabric occurs when no further deformation is possible. The test is essentially an index which is widely used for quality control and cited in most specifications. 2, record 87, English, - Mullen%20burst%20test
