Condensation which occurs when a ship sails from a cool to a relatively warm climate. 1, fiche 1, Anglais, - cargo%20sweat
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The temperature of the cargo rises at a slower rate than that of the ship's environment and when the surface of the cargo is colder than the dew point of the surrounding air, moisture condenses directly on to the cargo. Opinions differ as to whether cargo should be ventilated when meeting these climatic conditions, so as to avoid damage caused by cargo sweat. 1, fiche 1, Anglais, - cargo%20sweat

The condensation which occurs when a ship sails from a warm to a relatively cool climate. 2, fiche 2, Anglais, - ship%27s%20sweat
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 OBS
The temperature of the cargo drops at a slower rate than that of the ship's environment. Moisture condenses on the inner surfaces of the ship and drips on to the cargo. To avoid damage to cargo caused by ship's sweat, it is important for cargo to be dry when loaded into the ship and ventilation is favoured when meeting these climatic conditions. 2, fiche 2, Anglais, - ship%27s%20sweat
