Laurentian Mountains, the Laurentians

The range of hills and mountains north of the St. Lawrence River is called the Laurentian Mountains or, informally, the Laurentians.

  • The Laurentian Mountains are not as high as the Rocky Mountains or the Alps.
  • At 968 metres, Mont Tremblant is the second-highest peak in the Laurentians.
