Central Daylight Time, Central Standard Time, CDT, CST

From April to October, Central Daylight Time is observed in Manitoba and parts of Ontario and Nunavut. From October to April, Central Standard Time is in effect. The name of the time zone is abbreviated when a specific time is stated; otherwise it is written out in full. The abbreviations CDT and CST are written in upper case, with no periods. Time zones may be stated with either the 12-hour or 24-hour system (e.g. 3:15 a.m. CDT or 03:15 CDT).

  • In summer, Saskatchewan remains on Central Standard Time, so when it is 6 p.m. in Saskatoon, it is also 6 p.m. in Calgary where mountain daylight time is in effect.
  • If Steven left Moose Jaw at noon, he should arrive in Regina before 1:30 p.m. CST.
  • All participants in Saskatoon’s Spring Fun Run must sign in before 18:00 CDT Saturday.
