The hedger, by liquidating his position in one contract month and assuming a similar position in a different contract, could effectively work his "sale price" higher or work his "purchase price" lower, as differences between the contract months widen or narrow. After taking his profit he can then move back into his original position. Taking advantage of the differing price relationships between contract months, is known as basis trading. 1, record 1, English, - basis%20trading

Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
2, record 1, French, - mise%20sur%20l%27%C3%A9cart

Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 DEF
3, record 2, French, - placardisation
Record number: 2, Textual support number: 1 CONT
1, record 2, French, - placardisation
