Record number: 3, Textual support number: 1 CONT
The scratcher is a simple device, consisting of a band of steel that fits around a joint of casing, and stiff wire fingers or cable loops sticking out in all directions around the band (360-degree coverage). A scratcher resembles a bottlebrush, but its diameter is greater than its height. Importantly, for scratchers to be effective, the casing must be moved. This movement may be reciprocal motion in and out of the wellbore, rotary motion, or both. In general, the more motion, the better the cement job will be. 2, record 3, English, - scratcher

A built-up roofing consists of plies or layers of roofing felt bonded together on site with hot bitumen. A protective surface coating of gravel or slag is sometimes embedded in a heavy top coating of hot bitumen. It is laid down to conform to the roof deck, and to protect all angles formed by the roof deck with projecting surfaces, and forms a single-unit flexible waterproofed membrane fastened to the deck by cementing and nailing. The simple principle on flat roofs is to turn the membrane up to form a skirting or base flashing on the vertical surfaces, making a large watertight tray. The only outlets from this tray are the roof drains to dispose of water. 3, record 14, English, - build%2Dup%20roofing

Sur les toits plats, il suffit de prolonger la membrane le long des saillies verticales pour obtenir un solin de base, formant un grand plateau imperméable. Cementitious materials include the variety of ceramic products that may be mixed with water or another liquid to form a paste. The paste, which is temporarily plastic, can be molded and may or may not have aggregate added to it. Later, it hardens or sets to a rigid mass. The simple cementing materials, such as limes and plasters, are produced by driving off a liquid or gas from some natural mineral.... The more complex hydraulic cements derive their cementing properties from formation of new chemical compounds during the manufacturing process. 5, record 15, English, - cementing%20material
