The [study] will... provide an opportunity to present a "characterization matrix" approach to enable a more effective operational determination of what constitute large-scale and small-scale fisheries. This will allow for greater cross-comparability between the... case studies. The characterization matrix, which constitutes a flexible and case-by-case method to describe different categories of fisheries, will be tested using information from a number of regions, covering both marine and inland fisheries. 2, record 1, English, - characterization%20matrix

2, record 1, French, - matrice%20de%20caract%C3%A9risation

Before stepping on the bridge look very carefully at the rocks. This rock is called a breccia(a rock that consists of fragments of one or more older rock types). This rock is made up of lots of light green fragments surrounded by a darker green, fine-grained material(matrix). It has formed as a result of explosive volcanic activity. In this case, the light green fragments consist of a volcanic rock known as dacite(fine-grained quartz and feldspar) so the rock is called a dacite breccia. 4, record 2, English, - dacite%20breccia

An immobilized enzyme system is the material which results from immobilization of an enzyme onto a support matrix. Magnetic support matrices and immobilized enzyme systems offer several advantages when compared to nonmagnetic systems. For example, separation of such materials from other nonmagnetic solids by use of a magnetic field can permit separations otherwise difficult or impossible to perform. Such a situation is represented by the case where two enzymes, with different deactivation times, are used concurrently on a substrate, with one immobilized enzyme system magnetic and the other nonmagnetic. In this case, after one enzyme is exhausted, the other may be readily recovered and reused by magnetic separation of the two immobilized enzyme systems, which will be recognized as offering great benefits in economy. 1, record 3, English, - magnetic%20support

The world's largest, single lead-zinc orebody occurs at Sullivan, British Columbia. The host rocks are late Precambrian argillites.... This deposit appears to be syngenetic and the lead-zinc minerals form an integral part of the rocks in which they occur. They are affected by sedimentary deformation such as slumping, pull apart structures, load casting, etc.... Beneath the central part of the orebody there is a roughly funnel-shaped zone of brecciation and tourmalinization which extends downwards... In places, the matrix of the breccia is heavily mineralized with pyrrhotite... This zone may have been a channelway up which solutions moved to debouch on to the seafloor, to precipitate the ore minerals among the accumulating sediment. If this was the case, then Sullivan could be called a sedimentary-exhalative deposit. 5, record 4, English, - sedimentary%20exhalative%20deposit
