1, record 1, French, - granule%20de%20boues

Immobilization can result in significant changes in the properties of enzymes in comparison with the properties of the soluble enzyme. It is likely that the properties of the immobilized enzyme are nearer to the in vivo properties since dilute soluble enzyme studies normally ignore the complex realities of the intracellular environment. Immobilized enzyme systems can simulate some of these realities, e. g. generation of localized microenvironment, diffusional restrictions, partitioning of substrates, products, coenzymes, etc.... Several workers have observed that the close proximity of the immobilized enzyme to its support matrix is a major contributing factor to changes in the properties of enzymes when they are immobilized. 2, record 3, English, - soluble%20enzyme

... the polymer matrix provides the enzyme with a microenvironment which may differ in many respects(e. g. pH, substrate concentration) from the solvent in which the immobilized enzyme is suspended.... An interesting proposed analytical application is the use of enzymes as "molecular probes" for determining the microenvironment of supports(water-soluble or water-insoluble). Because an immobilized enzyme will behave in accordance with its local environment, a determination of specific enzymic properties(usually activity) can reveal the nature of its immediate environment. 2, record 4, English, - molecular%20probe

Two kinds of TBT-containing paints are known. Free-association paint, made by mixing TBT into the paint, dissolves when it contacts water. All of the TBT is leached out from the paint in 12-24 months. In copolymer paint, the TBT is bound to the paint and slowly releases with water movement, and is effective for five to six years ... 3, record 6, English, - tributyltin%20free%2Dassociation%20paint

Historically, tributyltin(TBT) free-association paints were used. Free association paints are where the active ingredients are dispersed in a resinous matrix and from which they can slowly leach. This type of paint system has been the basis of most traditional antifouling paints... It is difficult to control the rate of release of biocides from a free-association paint system so as to provide a constant leaching level. Paints containing freely associated biocides such as copper compounds and TBT, can give rise to high initial concentrations of biocides in the marine environment. 4, record 6, English, - tributyltin%20free%2Dassociation%20paint

Developed specifically for use in the microgravity environment, the Space DRUMSÖ(Dynamically Responding Ultrasonic Matrix System) facility uses an acoustic levitation process that enables large fluid or solid material samples to be positioned and held stably in microgravity while they are being processed on the space station. Called containerless processing, this leading-edge system of dynamic acoustic beam positioning prevents the samples from touching the walls of their containers, thus avoiding defects or contamination. 2, record 7, English, - acoustic%20levitation

2, record 7, French, - l%C3%A9vitation%20acoustique
