Record number: 1, Textual support number: 1 CONT
Assays of biochemical systems are carried out on a large scale in both industry and academia, so it is desirable to have an apparatus that allows these assays to be performed in a convenient and inexpensive fashion. Because they are relatively easy to handle and low in cost, microplates are often used for such studies. Microplates typically consist of a plurality of individual wells formed of polymeric materials. Each well includes sidewalls and a bottom so that an aliquot of a sample may be placed within each well. The wells may be arranged in relatively close proximity in a matrix pattern, allowing samples to be studied individually or as a group. Common sizes for microplates include matrices having dimensions of 4x6(24 wells) or 8x12(96 wells), although larger microplates are also used that may include matrices of hundreds or even thousands of wells. 9, record 1, English, - microplate

To investigate the tooth development in the none-tooth bearing area, the tooth germs were transplanted into the toothless gap, diastema of the developing mandible. Also to study the effect of growth factors on the tooth development, BMP [bone morphogenetic protein] was added during culture period. After periods of in vitro and in vivo culture, the transplanted tooth germ in the toothless gap area showed bioengineered tooth with supportive structure formation. In BMP treated group, the bioengineered tooth was observed with increased maturation of cusp and enamel matrix, which suggest possibility of controlling of bio-engineering of the tooth in morphogenesis even in toothless area. 3, record 5, English, - bioengineered%20tooth

3, record 5, Spanish, - biodiente

There are vast, deep coalbeds in Alberta, Canada which are unmineable but contain trapped methane. The Alberta Research Council(ARC) is leading a group of provincial, national and international organizations to exploit the coalbed methane by testing a novel process of injecting carbon dioxide. This process is called Enhanced Gas Recovery(EGR). It is similar to the established practice of using CO² injection to enhance production from oil reservoirs. With EGR, the injected CO² is adsorbed in the coal, to be stored in its pore matrix, releasing the trapped methane that can be collected and sold. 2, record 10, English, - enhanced%20gas%20recovery

Contingency Table. A table that compares mapped data with ground data to determine accuracy. The "known" classes derived from accuracy assessment plots are compared to the classes derived from photo interpretation. The results are then tabulated in the form of a contingency table to determine the degree of misclassification that has occurred between classes. Also referred to as error matrix, confusion matrix, or misclassification matrix. 10, record 15, English, - confusion%20matrix

3, record 15, French, - matrice%20de%20confusion

When a factor matrix is rotated by the varimax method, the resulting factors usually indicate how the items in the set group conceptually. Items that show high correlations(i. e., factor loadings) with a particular varimax factor are interpreted as sharing a common characteristic that underlies all items that correlate highly with that factor. 1, record 16, English, - Varimax%20factor
