English

Subject field(s)
  • Ballistics
  • Small Arms
CONT

Each... bullet trap is free standing and modular in design. The main body of the trap is a solid welded unit... Assembly of extension plates occurs in the final stage of fabrication at the installation site. This will bring the trap to its full height and width.

Subject field(s)
  • Nuclear Fission Reactors
  • Nuclear Power Stations
CONT

The present invention relates to a modular nuclear fuel element, which can be adapted by an assembly system allowing it to be used in different nuclear power plants with horizontal and vertical cooling channels. The module is a cluster of parallel fuel rods mounted as circular concentric crowns and supported by a structural system. It has a single diameter fuel rod array where the ratio of the heat transfer area to the transverse rod area is higher than 330. It also has self-supporting fuel element spacer grids, which are collapsible sheaths attached to them with fewer than 13 welded end stoppers.

Where final assembly of body panels takes place with the last joints welded on the body, then I will use T. I. G/argon welding. This method doesn’t use a corrosive flux-especially useful if you cannot gain access behind the panel on final welds-plus the instant heat of a high frequency electric heat source greatly reduces the damage to ash frames when welded on the job which a gas flame can do.

Oil furnaces. Indoor oil furnaces... are available in upflow, downflow, horizontal and low-boy configurations for ducted systems. They are also available as floor furnaces, wall furnaces, and free standing space heaters. Oil-fired outdoor furnaces and combination units are rare.... The ducted system, oil-fired, forced air furnaces are usually equipped with pressure-atomizing burners. The pump pressure and the orifice size of the injection nozzle regulate the firing rate of the furnace. Electric ignition is used to ignite the burners.... The combustion chamber and heat exchanger of oil-fired furnaces are normally formed as a common single chamber. It is formed from heavy gage steel into a welded assembly. The hot flue products flow through the inside of the heat exchanger into the chimney. The conditioned air flows over the outside of the heat exchanger and into the air supply plenum.
