Record 1 2002-06-20

English

Subject field(s)
  • Pleasure Boating and Yachting
DEF

A boat which has the responsibility for taking whatever action is best to avoid a collision.

OBS

burdened : Required by the Rules of the Road to maneuver so as to be clear of another boat when meeting or overtaking the other boat. Powerboats are generally burdened when meeting a sailing boat; when 2 sailing boats meet the one that is to windward, that is overtaking, or(if both are running free), that is on the port tack is burdened.

French

Domaine(s)
  • Yachting et navigation de plaisance
DEF
