The study of the mathematical systems which represent physical phenomena; particular areas are, for example, quantum and statistical mechanics and field theory. 2, record 1, English, - mathematical%20physics
Record number: 1, Textual support number: 2 DEF
The area of physics aimed at deducing the consequences of the more established physical theories by relying mainly on the method of mathematical solution, presuming that the basic laws of physics are known. A fruitful approach is possible largely because there is close analogy between the mathematical problems arising in different fields of theoretical physics. 3, record 1, English, - mathematical%20physics

3, record 1, French, - physique%20math%C3%A9matique
