Active shutter 3D systems can also be implemented to present 3D films in some theaters, and they can be used to present 3D images on CRT [cathode-ray tube], plasma, LCD [liquid crystal display], 3D images on HMD [head-mounted display] systems, VR [virtual reality] display systems, smartphones, game consoles, screens, displays, and combinations thereof.

… as more and more home viewing occurs on large-screen high resolution televisions and other display devices, movie theaters have sought to differentiate the movie theater experience from home viewing by offering three-dimensional films. As is well known, such technology works by encoding stereoscopic images in different colors, and using special 3D glasses with color filters to present different (offset) images to the left and right eyes. Such 3D films can create remarkable viewing experiences to theater-goers willing to wear special 3D glasses.

El espectador utilizaba unas gafas especiales que cubrían el ojo con un celofán semitransparente de color rojo y el otro con uno de color azul. La película consistía en dos imágenes superpuestas, con las porciones que deben ser vistas por uno u otro ojo del color opuesto al del celofán.

La radiodensidad está determinada por una estructura ya sea anatómica, o de otra naturaleza(metálica, plástica, líquida, etc.) que detiene en cierta medida el paso de los rayos X hacia el sensor del aparato radiológico, así las distintas imágenes que pueden proyectarse de acuerdo a su radiodensidad pueden ser imágenes radiopacas(se proyectan como imágenes claras o blancas de mayor o menor intensidad, ya que corresponden a estructuras que no permiten el paso continuo de los rayos X o lo han frenado por completo), o imágenes radiolúcidas(son áreas de color negro a gris en distintos grados, debido a que los haces de rayos X atraviesan una estructura sin mayor dificultad por reducida densidad).

A technique for determining, by tracing imaginary rays of light from the viewer's eye to the objects in a scene, the parts of the scene that should be displayed in the resulting display image.

CONT

Ray-tracing technique relies on an extremely time-consuming algorithm to compute the reflection and refraction of light from the surfaces of imaginary objects. Basically the computer program traces individual light rays, starting at the viewpoint and passing backward through each pixel in the image plane until the ray hits a surface. The reflected ray is then continued to see if it could have come from a light source, either directly or after reflection from another object. For a transparent surface a second, refracted ray must also be traced.
