Agglomerative clustering is the most frequent class of hierarchical clustering, used to put items in clusters based on similarities. In this approach, each item is first treated as a singleton cluster. Following this, pairs of clusters are merged one by one until all the clusters have been combined into a single large cluster holding all items. The output is a dendrogram, a tree-based presentation of the items ... 6, record 3, English, - agglomerative%20hierarchical%20clustering

Mortality is a key component to understanding population dynamics of fish species. Total mortality is often estimated from the sequential decline observed in cohorts of fish. ... catch curve [methods are] used to analyze this decline ... All catch curves have three regions of interest: an ascending left limb, a domed middle portion, and a descending right limb ... The ascending left limb represents age-classes of fish that are not yet fully vulnerable to the gear used in fishery. Fish in these age-classes are said to have "not fully recruited to the fishery." The catches of fish in these age-classes are not useful for estimating the total mortality rate. 4, record 10, English, - ascending%20left%20limb

Besides aerobic biological treatment and mechanical separation processes, anaerobic treatment becomes more and more important in the purification of liquid waste with high organic load. The search for an economic treatment procedure leads to a two-stage anaerobic-aerobic treatment concept. Aerobic secondary treatment is required because the purification capacity will not be sufficient with anaerobic treatment only. Comparing two different anaerobic procedures, suitability, advantages and disadvantages can be determined. These procedures are the anaerobic contact sludge procedure (digester) and the up-flow reactor (UASB). The following aerobic stages are identical, they consist of activated sludge tank and final sedimentation tank with separate return sludge flow. 4, record 63, English, - up%2Dflow%20reactor

Cross tell - the transfer of information between facilities at the same operational level. Also called "lateral tell" 3. Forward tell - The transfer of information to a higher level of command. 4. Overlap tell - The transfer of information to an adjacent facility concerning tracks detected in the adjacent facility's area of responsibility. 5.
