Cada uno de los elementos químicos de la serie de catorce, con número atómico comprendido entre el 90 (torio) y el 103 (laurencio), ambos incluidos, que ocupan el mismo lugar que el actinio en la tabla periódica.

OBS

Constituyen una serie de transición interna, similar a la de los lantánidos, en la que se ocupan de electrones los siete niveles 5f. Debido a que estos elementos poseen semejante configuración electrónica en las capas más externas, sus propiedades químicas son muy similares.
