Advanced Study Institutes (ASIs) are high-level tutorial courses of two weeks duration where a subject is treated in depth by lecturers of international standing. Presentations are made to about 100 scientists or research students already specialized in the field, or who have an advanced general scientific background. Suitably-qualified scientists wishing to attend an ASI should apply to the Co-Directors of the particular ASI.

Les cours d'été (ASI) sont des réunions de formation de haut niveau d'une durée de deux semaines où des conférenciers de réputation internationale approfondissent une question donnée. Rassemblant une centaine de participants, ils s'adressent à des scientifiques et à des jeunes chercheurs déjà spécialistes du domaine considéré ou d'un niveau général élevé. Les scientifiques qualifiés qui souhaitent participer à un cours d'été doivent adresser leur demande aux co-directeurs du cours d'été en question.
