The Applicant Suitability Unit (ASU) is mandated primarily with determining the overall suitability of all regular member applicants at various suitability "gates" within the Applicant Selection Process in an effort to ensure that all applicants who are offered enrollment into the Cadet Training Program at Depot are the embodiment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) core values. The primary suitability "gates" include the Pre-Employment Polygraph Applicant Questionnaire (PEP-AQ) Review, the Regular Member Suitability Interview (RMSI), the Post-PEP (Pre-Employment Polygraph) Review (upon completion of a PEP interview by a polygraph examiner), and the Final Suitability File Review.
