Une des curiosités du parc, le «boulder field», un champ de rochers qui s’est formé il y a plus de 20 000 ans, par l’érosion des pierres due aux cycles successif de gel/fonte de l’eau. L’eau s’infiltre dans les fissures de la roche, et quand elle gèle, agrandit petit à petit la faille en s’expensant.
