Coasts Under Stress, a five year project that started in April 2000, is an experiment in interdisciplinary research. Using a set of complimentary case studies on the East and West Coasts of Canada, it is analysing the long and short-term impacts of socio-environmental structuring on the health of people, communities and the environment.
