A development of the two-frame equipment ... and a forerunner of the later Turam system. [of electromagnetic prospecting]. The transmitter loop is a long grounded wire or large rectangle ... Traverses are made perpendicular to the long side with a single-coil detector connected through compensator and amplifier to headphones. The reference signal for the compensator unit is obtained from a small pickup coil lying near the transmitter cable and connected by wires to the receiver unit.

Le géophysicien Suédois K Sundberg [...] a conçu et mis au point une méthode de mesure de l'intensité et du déphasage du champ magnétique résultant, permettant ainsi de connaître la conductivité du sous-sol.

Cette méthode consiste en un grand câble relié au sol à ses extrémités par des électrodes ponctuelles et connecté à une source émettrice de basse fréquence. L'unité réceptrice est constituée de deux bobines de matière isolante autour desquelles sont enroulés plusieurs tours de fil. Une des bobines est fixe et située près du câble d'émission tandis que l'autre est mobile. Ces deux bobines sont reliées par un câble de référence enrobé de matière isolante, un amplificateur, une unité compensatrice et un téléphone.
