Le point natté espagnol et le point de tige forment des motifs qui ont un aspect tressé. Le point natté espagnol traverse le canevas de droite à gauche, alors que le point de tige le traverse de haut en bas. Les deux motifs sont composés de rangées de points en diagonale dont l'orientation est contrariée à chaque nouvelle rangée. Le point de tige comprend de surcroît des points arrière.
