This handbook prepared by the Solicitor General Canada - Secretariat, Aboriginal Policing Directorate, is a guide to a problem-solving approach in providing police services to aboriginal communities. This approach analyzes symptoms of criminal incidents to identify the underlying factors that led to the crimes. The police and the community can then work together to identify responses that address to underlying factors, strategies that are compatible with the specific culture of the community.

OBS
