Jean-Paul Champagne, terminologue à la section militaire et technique, "dry-fire" serait du jargon utilisé pour signifier que la baignoire à tourbillons ne peut fonctionner à vide c'est-à-dire qu'elle est pourvue d'un mécanisme de sécurité qui empêche le dispositif de production des tourbillons de se mettre en marche quand il n'y a pas suffisamment d'eau dans la cuve.
