Le pressage permanent est un finissage appliqué sur des tissus et des vêtements. Ce finissage permet à une étoffe et à un vêtement de ne pas prendre de faux-plis lors du porter et lors du lavage suivi d'un séchage. Les articles qui ont subi ce finissage n'exigent aucun repassage.

OBS

Le procédé «permanent press» permet la fixation des formes : coutures, plis etc. par une vapeur surchauffée, un séchage par aspiration et pressage fort.
