In pressure processes, the amount of preservative remaining in the timber immediately after completion of the treating cycle, i.e. after the kickback and any final vacuum.


With waterborne-type preservatives the amount retained is expressed in lb/ft³ or kg/cm³ of treated volume, excluding solvent.

S'agissant de procédés sous pression : la quantité de produits de préservation qui reste dans le bois immédiatement après la fin du cycle de traitement, c.-à-d. après l'éventuel vide final et (ou) le ressuyage.


Avec les produits de préservation hydrosolubles, cette quantité retenue est exprimée en kg/m³ de bois traité, à l'exclusion du solvant.
