Si la Belgique dispose de 3 500 éoliennes produisant 2 MW chacune, soit 7 000 MW, tant que le vent souffle, l'économie en combustibles est de 7 000 MW électrique et, selon le rendement des centrales thermiques, 21 000 MW thermiques ou plus.
