Conditions de travail et risques liés au traitement du minerai d'or. Le traitement est moins pénible et dangereux que l'exploitation du fait qu'il se pratique en surface. Toutefois, ces opérations dégagent beaucoup de poussière et les phases de concassage et de broyage demandent beaucoup d'efforts physiques et provoquent des douleurs aux bras et une fatigue générale. Le concassage et le broyage engendrent un bruit intense susceptible de provoquer des lésions auditives. Le lavage du minerai dans les rivières polluées cause la bilharziose.
