... What was once known as "Upper Aylmer Road" is the Aylmer Road as we know it today. "Lower Aylmer Road" is assumed to be a former name for "boulevard Lucerne". To avoid confusion, historians wish to discourage any reference to a "lower" Aylmer Road as well as any attempt to connect it with the existing Aylmer Road.
