The Magnetic Information Retrieval Program (MIRP) uses the Canadian Geomagnetic Reference Field or any other component of the magnetic field, over Canada and adjacent areas. Outside the region of Canada, MIRP automatically uses the International Geomagnetic Reference Field (IGRF) to calculate magnetic field values, with somewhat less accuracy.
