Written notification provided by a vessel owner, master or shipping agent to a charterer, shipper, or consignee that the vessel has arrived at port and is prepared to commence loading or discharging of cargo, as the case may be.

OBS

The charter party clause containing this provision often stipulates the particular hours and days when this notice may be tendered and how soon afterwards laytime commences. Failure by the charterer, shipper, or consignee to commence loading/discharging is apt to start laytime running.

Il peut le faire oralement, à moins que la charte n'exige, comme c'est habituellement le cas, que cette notice de mise à disposition du navire soit envoyée par écrit.
