The Red Tape Reduction Commission, created in 2010 in order to identify irritants stemming from federal regulatory requirements to businesses and recommend options that address these irritants, held round-table consultations across Canada with small-business owners and then analyzed the results of consultations, identified the root causes of the problems and engaged federal organizations to get a comprehensive understanding of the issues.
