Department of Education: name changed in 1968 to Department of Youth and Education. Reverted in 1971 to Department of Education which absorbed the former Department of Continuing Education and Manpower in April 1, 1978. Name changed in 1984 from Department of Education to Manitoba Education. In 1989 name changed from Manitoba Education to Manitoba Education and Training also known as Department of Education and Training.
