A variation of the channel setting, usually used for wedding bands or designer rings. In the bar setting, thin metal bars are placed between each gemstone on a band to hold them securely in place.

Serti barrette : dans ce sertissage, l'effet «barrette» est dû à la bande transversale d'or qui sépare chaque brillant. La barrette est ciselée ou non, mais l'avantage est de pouvoir «découper» sur le côté de la bague, la forme ronde de la pierre et ainsi donner un volume à volutes de côté.
